Taken in my cousin Dan’s apartment in the Ritz Tower on Park avenue in New York, July 2003, almost twenty years ago. It was a tiny studio apartment but with a great bathroom. These photos were taken the morning after the storm had destroyed our original plans and shoot. Amy put her hair up into what is now her famous signature beehive and I decided we should keep things simple, so as Amy was getting her make up on etc, I just sat with her and documented".
Shot by Charles when Amy was 19, before the release of her debut album 'Frank'.
All prints are made to order and supplied carefully packaged.
