Patrick Pantano is a multidisciplinary artist who has worked primarily in painting and drawing for the last ten years. Prior to that, he had significant professional experience as a drummer and photographer. Until roughly 2014 he worked as a portrait photographer- beginning professionally at a catalog studio in Troy MI, he soon began documenting the Detroit music community he was part of there in the early 2000s. His portraits of the bands were widely published, most notably his images of The White Stripes, which were used as sleeve art for the records White Blood Cells and Elephant, as well as press and promotion. In 2009 a solo photography exhibition,Heads Shot, A Portrait Series by Patrick Pantano, was shown at The Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit. As a musician he has toured North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan extensively with In The Red Records band The Dirtbombs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oakland University in Rochester MI.
